Cousin Cards

My sister-in-law made matching cousin cards several years ago for the kids in the family and I took her idea and tweaked it a little this year. For Christmas, we drew names on both sides for the cousins so I made a set for my husband's niece. I printed cards with names and pictures of his side of the family. I printed a cute polk-a-dot on the back that I found on Shabby Princess. Then I send them through a laminator in id badge size sleeves. They're perfect "playing card" size with rounded edges. There are two of each card so she can play Memory, Old Maid, Go Fish and other fun card games. I'm sure I'll be making a set for my own kids when they are a little older.

  1. I was just telling my mom the other day that we needed to do this...before I saw yours! Now I'm tempted to pay you to make some for me...as cute as yours are! :)

  2. These are darling!
Way back in the olden days, I put pictures in a little album for the kids to learn their cousins and extended relatives. These cards are wonderful!

  3. These look so much better (and easier) than the ones I did with juice lids. We were using the juice lid ones to play "Guess Who?" So that is, also, a compatible game with this project. Lots of fun! I will have to make these- Just have to find a laminator!

  5. Heather, you can find laminating sleeves at any office supply store and sometimes even Target or Wal-Mart. They have a variety of sizes. These were the business card size but they have 3 x 5 ones as well.
